Assemble and package grab-and-go food items like sandwiches, salads etc - Serve customers at hot counter and cold case - Prepare, heat, finish, portion and package simple food items - Take customers' orders - Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs - Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and keep records updated - Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas - Wash and peel vegetables and fruit to prepare for use in sandwiches, salads, vegetable cups, fruit platters etc - Date checking product and rotating to ensure quality - Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment - Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans by hand - Place dishes in storage area - Handle and store cleaning products - Replenish condiments and other supplies at serving areas - Perform other duties such as scraping and stacking dishes, and running errands. - Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers - Sweep and mop floors
